ETF & FOREX Newsletter
Welcome, this service is designed for investors and traders who are serious about getting positive returns on their account. This newsletter will focus on ETFs and FOREX.
We focus on these instruments because they are liquid, low cost, and accessible to everyone.
The longer I have traded, the more I realize how true that statement is. Our behavior as traders is what will determine our account balance at the end of the year.
Q: Why should I subscribe?
A: Wealthfront, Betterment, and Vanguard have low cost index products for your retirement account. I believe a portion of your money should be set aside to take aggressive risks. This newsletter is here to serve that purpose.
Q:What type of trades will you take?
A: This newsletter will run 2 model portfolio's. One for ETF's and one for FOREX. Our investment thesis is this: We are looking for 50/50 propositions that will pay us 2 to 1 if we are right or as Charlie Munger says, "Our job as investors is to sift the world for mispriced bets and bet heavily when we find one."
All trades will be end of day or end of week trades. No day trading.
Check out my investment philosophy for more information.
Q: What is your risk management philosophy?
A: All trades will have a level where we will exit. We are not in the business of holding losing trades. However, you can expect the model portfolios to have deeper drawdowns than a typical index fund.
We are taking larger, more concentrated positions, but that is the point, we are trying to achieve above average returns. The trade-off for concentration is deeper drawdowns.
Q: How many trade alerts should I expect?
A: Between 1-4 per month. Good risk/reward trades don't come along often. One of our biggest edges will be patience. We as investors have to be willing to sit on our hands most of the time. People with a desire for action are planting the seeds of our next trade.
Q: How should I use the information in your newsletter?
A: As a starting point for your own research. Searching for trade ideas and compiling research is a time consuming process, especially if it is not your full time job.
Hopefully, this newsletter will save you time so you can focus on the ideas you believe have the greatest potential.
Q: How much does this subscription cost?
A: $10.99/month or $99/year. Buying the yearly subscription will save you 33%.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Not at this time. You can log into your account and cancel auto-renew at anytime.
Q: What does the subscription include?
A: Trade alerts and research for ETFs and FOREX. A weekly e-mail summarizing the week and links to the 10 best stories I read. Once a month, I will do a Facebook live session for subscribers only.
Q: What kind of support will you offer?
A: Our main support channel will be a members only Facebook group. My hope is that group will also build into a community where we can learn from each other and discuss ideas, personal finance, whatever.
I will do my best to answer questions quickly, but the trade-off to answering a lot of questions is less time looking for trades. Please be patient with me:)
Q: How and when will I get the trade alerts?
A: I don't know in advance when opportunities will become available. When the model portfolio takes a trade, you will be notified via email.
Q: What is most important to you?
A: Building trust with my subscribers. I write multiple times per week on my blog and am available to chat in our Facebook group. If you interact with me enough, you should learn that I am not hustler.
Q: What do I need to know before signing up?
A: You need to know how to execute a trade and the basic lingo of the FOREX and ETF markets. Check out BabyPips for a basic education on FOREX. ETF.com has some great information if you are new to investing in ETFs.
I write my Daily Update on Medium.
